Darkspawn Cults

As the living manifestation of evil, hatred, and malfeasance, most people view the Darkspawn with horror and revulsion. However, there is a select few who instead venerate these creatures. These are collectively referred to as Darkspawn Cults.   In and of itself, these cults do not have any kind of formalized doctrine or custom. This is due, in part, to the fragmented nature of mankind as a whole. However, certain cells have developed an almost informal collection of customs and practices in their veneration of the Darkspawn.   As Twilight City is perhaps the largest of the known City-nations left standing, it is reasonable to say that it too has the largest number of Darkspawn cultists. This is hard to verify, however, because it is the rare cultist who wears their belief open for everyone to see. Many City-nations have open laws allowing for the vigilantist punishment for found cultists... insofar as their status as a cultist can be proven.

Culture

Shared customary codes and values

Probably the highest-profile cult in Twilight City would be the Band of the Silvered Boar. Their view on the Darkspawn places the creatures as the Earth's defenses against humanity, not unlike how our bodies produce anti-bodies when a virus has begun to attack our systems.   They see the Dream Mother as a manifestation of humanity's will to live. While survival is a commendable trait for humans to have, Silver Boar belief is that to fight back is to only make the Darkspawn's responses even stronger. They believe it better to let the relentless tide of nightmarish horrors wash over mankind in one fell swoop, rather than prolong our suffering at their hands and risk incurring an even worse fate.

Common Dress code

While there is no formalized dress code for cultists, many often carry or wear some sort of trinket or piece of jewelry; often these pieces have some semblance to the specific cult the wearer adheres to. For example, the Band of the Silvered Boar cultists often wear silver bracelet, hooped earrings, or jewelry sporting boars and pigs.
