Tenebris Mansion

Tenebris mansion is where Malum and his family reside. It's a part of Castle Dracula and there's a tunnel leading directly to the castle. It is located closer to the central part of the vampiric empire while Castle Dracula is a good distance and takes about an hour to reach the town, which is why Malum and his family chose to live there, although Malum does spend most of his time at castle Dracula and seeing him in the mansion is an uncommon occurrence unless he is in the basement.

Purpose / Function

It was built so the Tenebris family could become more involved with the Vampiric empire and not have to abandon Castle Dracula.

Design

The manor is a victorian style estate, the floors are mostly hardwood or tile, and the walls consist of fancy wallpaper ranging from red, to gray to black, creme, and many other colors(mostly dark colors such as gray, black, and purple) Almost all the rooms are square or rectangular except the guest dining room.

Entries

The main entrance is a wooded dungeon-like door with gold lines and a gold door knocker. it is impossible to break into the door and must be opened on the inside by a person, or has a special knock or doorbell that will unlock the door. The entrance hallway is a long hallway with red wallpaper, dark hardwood floors with a red carpet leading down to the living room, kitchen and office area.

Sensory & Appearance

It's very cold inside the mansion, many times colder than the outside as well as very dark. The rooms are hollow and echoey and give off an eery feeling.

Denizens

Tenebris family: Malum, Fialovy, Shadow, and Eclipse, there are quite a bit of bats hanging around, which is common in vampire households.

Contents & Furnishings

There is a lot of vampire-themed furniture. For example: instead of a coffee table, Malum uses a coffin. Some Japanese furniture has been implemented as per Fialovy's request. Things such as shoji screens, which are in every bedroom, lamps, curtains, posters, statues, mini shrines, bonsai trees, and some other things. Most of the furniture is vampire-style (Gothic/victorian) with metals such as gold and silver, mainly gold.

Valuables

There are plenty of treasures and valuables located throughout the mansion. things such as huge chandeliers, statues, paintings, busts, and tons of victorian style furniture with gold. Paintings of the Tenebris family, carpets, there are also some Japanese treasures from Fialovy.

Special Properties

Every room isn't fully lit aside from the dining room, kitchen, and master bedroom.

Alterations

Malum turned a part of the basement of the mansion into a laboratory and personal hang-out room as well as a special dungeon for him to have in. ;)

Architecture

A gothic victorian style manor painted black with a wrap-around porch. Made mostly of wood and stone with a black metal gate around the mansion.

Defenses

There's a huge black gate surrounding the mansion with grass hedges and spiked ends. Intruders are not something to worry about because anyone in their right mind knows better than to try to break into the mansion and steal something. If that were to happen it would not end in success because Malum has heightened senses and super strength, as well as tons of weapons. He could easily kill someone in the blink of an eye.
Also, many of the rooms give off an eery feeling which gets worse when alone, this also acts as a defense mechanism because it makes intruders more likely to leave, and not steal anything. However, this eery feeling does not affect members of the Tenebris family and people can get used to it. 
The gate is very tall and has spiked ends so if someone were to try to climb over, it would be impossible without impaling yourself.

History

The Tenebris, or the Dracula family, is considered an official noble family of the vampiric empire. Because of this, they needed to become more involved but it was difficult to do that in their secluded castle, so a manor was built for them, directly connected to their castle. When Malum killed his parents and brother, he fully moved into the mansion, to avoid suspicion.

Tourism

Because of its spookiness, the Tenebris mansion is a popular spot with teenagers and young adults, unfortunately for them, it is not a tourist attraction and no outsiders are allowed unless given permission by the owner.

Malum and Fialovy's room is fully lighted and has gray wallpaper with black hardwood flooring with a black queen-sized bed that is a dark wood four-poster canopy style bed. On the ceiling is a black metal chandelier with a mix of candles and light bulbs. on both sides of the bed is a dark wood night stands with gold handles and lining, and behind the bed is a giant painting of Dracula with a sharp gothic wooden frame. 

Eclipse's room has purple victorian style wallpaper and black hardwood flooring, and under her desk is a victorian style red rug. In the corner of her room is her red gothic twin-sized bed.
Shadow's room is a plain light gray color with black hardwood flooring. He has a simple charcoal gray bed.
The living room has red wallpaper, black hardwoof floors and a huge chandlier. The sofa is made of red velvet fabric with wood frames, the coffee table is a coffin, there's a white and black fireplace with two book cases besides it and a TV on the wall. The entrance is a wooden entry way that has a bat gargoyle on the top with candle wall lamps of the sides and some more candle wall lamps. Underneath the coffin coffee table with a black rug, there is an organ in one end of the living room with two lamps beside it. Besides the sofa are wooden nightstands with gold handles and victorian style lamps.
