Makara
Makara: an island wrapped in mystery and legend. An island no one has ever set foot on.
Many have set out to find it, but either they returned with empty hands or not at all.
The legend of Makara is as old as there are humanoids on Tûran.
It is the legend of a thriving island with technology that rivals all. Of warlike people with flying machines, automatic weapons, and automated servants.
According to the legend the population drove their technology too far and there was an uprising by that technology. Because the gods were afraid the automatons would fan out to the rest of Tûran and destroy it too, they shrouded the island in an unpenetrable everlasting mist.
The most famous adventurer to set out to find Makara was Utosh Nibin, a mage of much renown. His quest to find the lost island motivated droves of people to wave goodbye and shout 'good luck' as his ship set out at the Dritari harbor.
