Avathi's Mind Walk

Pivan Avathi was a powerful Human Cleric who lived around 250 years ago.
She had been working at The High Temple of Pelor in the mental ward for most of her life. Seeing people struggle with their emotions around some events in their lives was heartbreaking to her. She made it her mission to help them cope with their feelings. That is how Avathi's Mind Walk came to be. It took her years to develop, but she succeeded in the end.
Avathi's Mind Walk is a powerful ritual that takes 30 minutes to cast and then lets you enter the mind of a willing person together with that person. It lets you focus on specific memories and the feelings attached to them. Those feelings can also be 'locked away' (not removed) to help you cope with, for example, traumatic events. The feelings can then later be slowly released to ease the patient back into them and not be overwhelmed by them once more.
After years of successfully helping mental patients that way, one of the Clerics who worked on the palliative wing came to Avathi with the idea to also use it for those whose life was about to end and who still had issues or had trouble dealing with the fact that they were dying and couldn't be helped anymore. It would assure their passing onto the next world would be a peaceful one. Avathi loved that idea and happily shared her knowledge with more and more of Pelor's Chosen.
The ritual is still used frequently to this day and is only known to Pelor's Chosen.
