Descendant’s mark

Anyone with a descendant’s mark is considered a descendant from one of the the First Alliance members. There are 22 known variations of the descendant’s mark. One for each of the First Alliance members and one other Each of the 21 members has a distinct symbol and color.    Having a descendant’s mark has a different meaning for each culture. If a culture is dominated by a race, having the mark of that race can mean a noble status. Having the descendant’s mark of a minority is in some cases best kept a secret, as the majority might worship only their own gods mark and are convinced that associating with another gods mark is a betrayal of their belief. In most human cultures, anyone with the mark of The Balancer is considered a noble.    Some believe the color of the descendant’s mark matches the color of the juice of sacrifice in the silver rose. Amongst small circles, there are even rumors about the descendant’s mark meaning that someone is a potential mark of a sacrifice.   The 22nd variation of the mark is round shaped, has a cross within and is turquoise colored. It is the mark of the Firal. The original protectors of the prophecy were given this mark for secret communications. New members who enter the firal are given this mark as well. Occasionally, a descendant’s mark is passed on to their child. Some believe the mark is always present in a firal descendant, but only activates when the child must complete a part of their parents if they die before it is finished.
