Bocben Brother’s Riverboat

This riverboat travels back and forth between Cithrea and Clearwen, carrying passengers and goods for trade.
For many villagers along the river, the riverboat represents fresh food, new faces to talk to and opportunities for trading. It is one of the few bigger boats along this river that takes the time to visit the smaller villages.
The boat is owned and operated by two half-elf brothers Norbyn and Osfyr. Norben mans the lookout post on top of the boat and Osfyr uses his water magic to ensure the fast delivery times the Bocben brothers are so well known for.
The riverboat consists of three layers. On the bottom, two catamaran sides are loaded with sacks and boxes full of trade goods. On the inner side you will find Osfyr, manipulating the waves for speed and steering. Usually a riverboat of this size would have a problem docking at the small village docks, but the catamaran construction allows for the boat to simply slide over a smaller pier. The middle section of the boat is reserved for passengers and precious personal cargo. Cushions provide comfort for passengers and blankets are provided for cold river nights. The top platform of the boat is where you will find Norbyn, looking out for rough waters and other potential trouble.
Another reason the boat often ignites a smile, is the Niata hunting. The catamaran lay-out of the boat allows for the tactic to limit the movement options of the monster. When another Niata is defeated, their head is tied to the side of the boat.
