Human

"Fantastic job, gents. I've never seen any human act as foolish as you and get yourselves purposefully caught. Well, I hope you're ready to join your fellows in the camps."

In the annals of history, humans are the youngest of the common races, late to arrive onto Troenn and short-lived in comparison to dwarves, elves, and even halflings. As a result of this, some speculate that their shorter lives have caused humans to work towards achieving as much as they can in the years they've been given. Others see humans warily, thinking that humans are trying to usurp the elder races with their might empires that work towards conquest and trade. Others further believe that humans are trying to show their worth with their innovations, working hard to make it known that they are equal to all the others. What the case, humans are a driving force in many places and are often pioneers in some of the most fantastical things known to this day.

Heavily Diversified

Due to the widespread nature of humans, they are more physically diverse and culturally diverse than other common races. There is no one kind of human that is more "human" than any other, they are all different in their own ways. An individual can stand from 4 feet to all the way to 7 feet tall and weigh from as little as 100 pounds up to 275 pounds. Human skin shades range from nearly black to very pale, and hair colors from black to white (with curly, kinky, straight, wavy, or other kinds males might sport some facial hair that is either sparse or very thick and copies some designs from other races like dwarves. A lot of humans have a dash of nonhuman blood, revealing hints of other lineages that have been overpowered by their human physique, but can result in slight differences; rare half-breeds are shown to sport some features that are similar to elves, dwarves, orcs, or other lineages while still retaining mostly human quality. Humans normally reach adulthood in their late teens and rarely live past a single century.

Naturally Inquisitive

Humans are by far the most adaptable and ambitious people among the common races. Their tastes, morals, and customs all differ depending upon the lands where they have settled. When they settle, though, they tend to stay, building cities to last for ages, and great kingdoms to persist for many centuries. An individual human might have a relatively short life span, but a nation will be able to preserve the beliefs far beyond the reach of one single human. They tend to live in the present, which makes them well-suited for a life of adventure, but they also make sure to have plans for the future with the intention of leaving a lasting legacy. Humans, by their very nature, tend to be adaptable to any opportunities that perk up, and they try to stay involved with changing dynamics both politically and socially.
Friends to Many
Just as readily as a human interacts with another, humans are also constantly trying to get along with other races. They usually get on good terms with many other races, though they might not be all that close. Humans tend to serve as ambassadors, diplomats, magistrates, merchants, and functionaries of all kinds.   Dwarves. "They tend to be a little rough around the edges, but they try to be true to their word. Their lust for the coin, however, has made many of them fall to ruin."
Elves. "The smartest thing to do is not to meander in elven territory. They're not the kindest to intruders and you're more likely to end up dead or worse if you go wandering in. However, if you can convince an elf to see you as worthy, they can be quite wise and knowledgeable about many things."
Halflings. "Quite the welcoming bunch, just be careful not to hurt your head in their smaller abodes. Halflings are known best for their hospitality and open arms- great for stories. If halflings pursued more than just be happy to settle, they might really be quite the force."
Orcs. "A loud and rowdy bunch, they're often more difficult than dealing with them is worth. However, if you can find a one that's really nice, he'll be the most loyal friend you'll come across."

Traits

Constitution Humans, by their very nature, have always been able to capitalize on their ability to survive. As such, they've become increasingly adaptable to different climates as well as different situations as needed.   Age Compared to other races, humans do not live all that long. In fact, most are considered to reach maturity by the age of 18 and usually don't live past their first century.   Size Humans vary widely in height and build, from a modest 5 feet to well over 6 feet tall. Regardless of your position in that range, your size is Medium.   Speed Their base walking speed is 30 feet.   Languages Humans speak Korvent and one additional language of their choice. This language is generally the one learned from other races they commonly interact with and can include obscure dialectal versions. Besides that, humans have a knack for sprinkling in words and phrases from other languages, too. This might include Korril curses, Esha'al expressions, Aerrack commands, etc.

Alignment

Humans do not tend to sway towards one particular alignment or the other. Many of the best and worst people one can find in Troenn might end up being human.
