Asmos
Appearance
Physical Condition
Asmos is, while not being the largest of the deities, still considered 'the giant' as his form is the only one that has been seen by others, compared to the reclusive Arkan. As such, simple jogs from him could simple trample and demolish mountains underfoot. Larger than life, his rippling muscles are a thing to admire as he rushes on the frontlines in the endless battle against the devils trying to enter his domain. Unlike many others, especially the giants who call him father, Asmos does not contain any hair and is in fact entirely hairless. Regardless, his features are strong and fierce, as if Asmos was carved from the stone itself. Besides the inset of his great draconic features upon his head, his hands and feet are also clawed and from his back are two massive wings similar to those of a great dragon. Due to this, or perhaps because of it, Asmos is venerated by many for the mighty grin which will stretch his face manifold, but not so much as the strong glower that he may give to mortals that will seemingly cover the sky in disappointment.Facial Features
Regardless of what detractors might say about him, Asmos' face is a thing of beauty. His eyes are perfectly proportioned upon his face, along with and equally centered nose to bring together the image of greatness and heroics in the otherwise stone-grey slate that makes up his face. His scalp, rather than having hair has deep indents within that carve out the image of a dragon encircling his face, almost like a mask. Thus, while also being a deity of giants, he is, at the same time, a deity of dragons.Apparel & Accessories
Asmos does not wear more than is necessary, and for him, that is merely a set of tanned hides and leathers that resemble a woven kilt, and immensely large boots entirely crafted and hardened from aurelium to give him the moniker 'the Rainbow-Maker'. Besides that, there is the ever-present and all-powerful Staff of the Divine that he carries at his side, able to change the very face of the earth in but an instant, its powers are unimaginable.Divinity
Divine Domains
Among all of the deities, Asmos is most closely related to the history of the world, and some scholars argue that he has been there since the beginning, his place having never been owned by another. Regardless, due to this, he has amassed an immense understanding of not just the world but also of life itself over the millennia of his existence. As such, many consider his domains to be natural phenomena such as tempests, but also to be one of war to represent his prowess as a powerful fighter through the many wars that have occurred in history.Scripture & Symbol
Asmos is perhaps the most open, but also the most secretive of the nine deities. This is, in part, due to most of his history being known in the minds of the near-eternal giants and dragons, both of which ignore the other half of his history for the favor of their own. Regardless, besides being recorded in the Codex of Righteous Deeds, Asmos' teachings have also been recorded in the giant's Scroll of the Divine while the dragons choose to have their version of his teachings in the Records of Asmos. Neither is truly wrong in its approach to understanding their god, but neither truly accepts all that Asmos is. As such, the most acceptable version of his teachings are within The Book of Maximus, written by his long-dead human prophet, Maximus. Besides this, there is the nature of Asmos symbology, which is to say that there's a great divide between his three groups of worshippers: the dragons, the giants, and the mortals. The dragons identify Asmos as the Dragonfather and prove veneration by showing figures of a dragon's head in the profile to the left with eyes seemingly made of the colors of the rainbow. The giants, on the other hand, seek to show their devoutness and loyalty towards Asmos the All-Father by showing the symbol of a cloud, representing Asmos limitless might and control over the skies. For the mortals, they normally represent Asmos by either a pair of boots of reflective material or a rainbow, giving him the moniker of the 'Rainbow-Maker.'Tenets of Asmos

Divine Goals
Asmos wishes for one thing, harmony between all. Some would say to extreme measures, but not for him. Firstly, he'd like for his more immediate children, the giants and the dragons, to reconcile so that the wars between them would cease. Secondly, he wishes for unity among the deities rather than the pointless bickering that is common between them in their feuds for supremacy. And lastly, he wishes that the races of mortals would no longer war against one another in their quest for domination and live in peace.Mental characteristics

Holy Days
Day of Rest
Asmos has never expected his followers to work harder to seek his love constantly; she is significantly more benevolent than the other gods by a significant degree. As such, he wishes his followers to continue to live and thrive in such a way that they may be happy and well with life. The people have very much vouched for this being the greatest of boons from Asmos, gifting simple veneration rather than complex and even horrific worship.jDay of Unity
On the two equinoxes, Asmos wishes to have the bonds between all races strengthened, so the followers often have a great ceremony to show togetherness and coordination that has been brought about through the mutual love of Asmos. So, they often do activities that are usually private to a race slightly more publicly to allow for the inclusion of everyone.Remove these ads. Join the Worldbuilders Guild
