Weapons

Weapons Summary
Below are weapons unique to Triumve. Note that while most mundane weapons from Pathfinder will also be appropriate certain weapons do not exist, including some racial weapons and most of the exotic firearms as Triumve is still in the early stages of firearm use (i.e. it uses the Emerging Guns rules).

Elven (more commonly called 'alfur') weapons are pretty much unaffected (as there's not many of them) while the dwarvern (more commonly called 'karsyl') weapons are limited to the following: war-shields, ram-hammers, longaxes, longhammers and chain-flails. Note that some of their weapons may still be viable as exotic weapons in the own right, they just won't be considered racial weapons.

There are no gnome or halfling weapons, as the two have effectively been combined into a single race (the Hanomi) which doesn't have a familiarity racial trait, although some of the pathfinder weapons may still be appropriate as non-racial exotic weapons.

As well as the weapons highlighted below, Shienao also treat sawtooth sabres and two-bladed swords as Shienao weapons.

Orcs in Triumve retain the double axe and skull ram as racial weapons, however they replace the horn bow with the war bow below (which is basically the same, but with a longer range and higher price).

Shienao Hook Blade

Also known as a moon blade, crescent blade or half-moon blade, these strange swords have their tips bent into hook, a sharpened spike at its pommel and a bladed hand guard, making almost every part of it a deadly weapon. As well as being capable of disarming or tripping with its hooked tip a skilled user can use a pair of hook blades as a single weapon by binding the two hooks and swinging it in a wide ark.

If the wielder is proficient with Shienao Hook Blades and is wielding two of them then at the start of their turn they can opt to switch between using them normally or combining the two weapons, which takes the same action as drawing or sheathing a weapon. Alternatively, when they draw two such blades they can opt to begin fighting in this way.

Doing this takes away the blades' disarm and trip special qualities but adds the reach special quality to it. Only one of the weapons' special qualities (magical, material, alchemical, etc.) is used for the purposes of attacks - the other weapon is simply an extended handle for it - however its wielder can switch which of the two is 'attacking' by taking a draw or sheating action (typically a move action).

Attacking in this fashion is not easy, imparting a -2 penalty to attack rolls, which stacks when attacking adjacent enemies. Despite technically fighting with two weapons the wielder does not count as using two-weapon fighting (or similar abilities) when fighting this way and it requires only one hand to wield the combined weapon. The two weapons are also treated as a single weapon for the purposes of disarming attempts although not sundering attempts (with a total sundering of the 'held' half resulting in the other half being effectively dropped in a random square within reach).

This change otherwise lasts until the wielder takes an action to change it or stops wielding one or both blades.

Orc Warbow
These immense bows are hard to draw but deal devastating damage at long range, with the orcs they are most often associated with often using them from the safety of their island homes or raiding boats.

All Orc Warbows are composite bows and can be further modified to benefit from a higher Strength score in the same way as other composite bows, with the basic warbows being a +1 composite to begin with. Anyone attempting to use a warbow with an insufficient strength modifier takes an additional -2 penalty to attack rolls and reduces the range increment to 80ft. Any effect that applies to both longbows and shortbows also applies to warbows.
