Varkin, Half-Alfur
A first generation varkin, with direct human and alfur parents but raised predominantly either by their human parent or within a predominantly human culture. This typically results in some form of resentment or even hatred towards their alfur ancestry (especially if that parent is absent), typically leading them to subconsciously fight against their innate connection to magic and instead making them naturally resistant to it. Living among humans also tends to lead towards them refining a particular skill, albeit at the expense of it often taking their mind away from those around them.
• Skilled in the Trade: Half-alfur varkins gain Skill Focus as a racial bonus feat but they must select a skill that is a class skill for them at their 1st level. This racial trait replaces Observant.
• Spell Resistance: Half-alfur varkins gain spell resistance equal to 11 + their character level. This racial trait replaces Varkin Magic.
