Varkin, Deathless

Descendants of a group of alfurs, varkins and humans who have dedicated themselves to the study of alfur timelessness in the hope of unlocking the secret of timelessness.

• Ageing Resistance: Deathless varkins are immune to spells or effects that temporarily age them and gain a +2 racial bonus against any spells or effects that would or could permanently affect their age. This racial trait replaces the bonus against enchantment effects in Alfur Immunities.
• Deathless Spirit: Deathless varkins gain resistance 5 against negative energy damage, they do not lose hit points when they gain a negative level, and they gain a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against death effects, energy drain, negative energy, and spells or spell-like abilities of the necromancy school. This racial trait replaces Varkin Magic.
• Special Note: Because of their experiments with necromancy having extended their lifespans deathless varkins use the karsyl middle, old, venerable and maximum ages.
