Varkin, Dark
Varkins born among the dark alfur, sharing their inclination towards dark complexion and hair colouring. Because of their human blood dark varkin tend to occupy a strange position within dark alfur society, where they are afforded some protection and respect for their alfur-ness, albeit tempered with some resentment, if not hatred in some quarters due to the ‘taint’ of their human aspects.
• Dark Magic: Dark varkins gain a +2 racial bonus on caster level checks to overcome spell resistance and a +2 racial bonus on dispel checks. This racial trait replaces Varkin Magic.
• Darkvision: Dark varkins gain darkvision out to 60ft. This racial trait replaces Observant.
• Paranoid: Dark varkins gain a +4 dodge bonus to AC against humanoids with the alfur subtype. This racial trait replaces Low-light Vision.
• Dark Magic: Dark varkins gain a +2 racial bonus on caster level checks to overcome spell resistance and a +2 racial bonus on dispel checks. This racial trait replaces Varkin Magic.
