Imperial Legate Manus (a.k.a. the First Hand of the Empire)

Manus was originally little more than one of Savinus’ many magical projects – a construct that he gradually improved upon and refined over his early life – and therefore more of an extension of his will. Hence why he was dubbed Savinus’ “Manus” (the Savian word for hand), a nickname which stuck.
After Savinus became an Incarnate his experimentations only grew until he eventually ended up imprinting a part of his own mind into a suitable vessel and created the very first truly sentient and independent construct. Despite his growing independence and Savinus’ own insistence Manus not only refused to take a new name but argued that Savinus needed more ‘Hands’ and thus began the Hands of Savinus.
The first Hands were impressions of Manus himself – rather than Savinus directly – but likewise independent and free-willed, however they too inherited the same ideals that Savinus and Manus both shared. They were not only Savinus’ personal bodyguard, but also his most trusted servants and soldiers – their loyalty unquestioned - and led by Manus.
