221 / 06 / 08 - Chimera Crew Spotted in Chirin

Several months ago a dangerous group of criminals fled Chirin after murdering a squad of patrollers. This group, who call themselves the Chimera Crew, managed to slip out of town aboard a boat and despite a sizeable reward being offered they have so far managed to avoid capture.   Last week a report reached the patrol that at least one of the criminals, a gnome wizard called Keldis, may have made their way back into Chirin. Although the patrol increased the checks on people moving around Chirin in order to find this criminal, they were unable to locate him. The report was assumed to have been a case of another gnome simply having the same name until another crime was committed a few days later.   A group of thieves broke into an inn and stole a valuable object from the owner. The thieves were clearly experienced in this sort of activity as they managed to enter tge locked building without disturbing any of the guests or damaging any windows or doors. With no clues for the patrol to follow the owner of the inn appealed to Bowin Gableson for aid. First Citizen Bowin was able to use his arcane powers to conjure an image of the thieves which showed them entering the inn and stealing the missing object. This image confirmed that the Chimera Crew were in Chirin and that they were responsible for the theft.   While there have been no sightings of the Chimera Crew since the theft, Captain Vyken Guardian has asked that all citizens of Chirin keep a careful watch for them. The Chimera Crew are extremely dangerous and one of them, a human calling himself Lindon Silversmith, is a convicted murderer. Citizens should not approach them and are instead asked to report any suspicious activity to the nearest patroller.  Anyone found to be assisting these criminals will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
