Summer Camp 2022 - My Pledge

Creative Goals

My creative goal for summer camp is to expand the land and lore of Sleyterra, as it has fallen behind other works, and there's a lot of room for that world to grow. I want to create more one-shot locations and expand them out to flesh out the world, I would also like to use these prompts in other worlds to inspire stories and write more during Summer Camp, because I've been away from my computer too much.

Motivations

I've been away from writing too long and I didn't meet any of my writing goals last month. I am in a much better mental place when I can write and create. This health and wellness aspect is a big motivator. Another motivation is that I have had Sleyterra on the back burner for too long, and I really want to get it done.

Specific Goals

Banon's Desert - Expand the lore, outline creatures that inhabit the desert, a one shot set around 'The Vault'
Darkmoor Grotto - Define the bandit and merchant systems that are engaged in illegal smuggling, and their social structures
Oscana, Shov Stril, and Ustrana - Establish the government systems that is in place
Syltan Ruins - Build a one shot and describe the area
Mammoth Crossing - Describe the wide plains surrounding the town and how the mammoth migrations created and maintain them
Inishari Basin - Build a one shot around a monster that is rumoured to live in the basin (Loch Ness)
Crestvaden - Build the city and its schools/research centers

Stretch Goals

Expand Costrus and use prompts to simultaneously build that world for a novel, and continue on The Mit and The Billows by doing some minor world building for Mitlaria. Basically use what I can anywhere else that it is applicable.

Challenge Goal

The challenge goal is to do as many as I can without sacrificing my mental health. I would also like to challenge myself to create an article of at least 500 words for every prompt I attempt. I would love to shoot for Diamond, but we'll see where we land.

Extra

I would like to improve my coding and ability to organize my articles as I go with Summer Camp, and if there's time create custom banners for each article.

This is my first Summer Camp, and I will be doing it while also juggling home renovations, my goals are broad and I do not expect to get it all done but I want to have fun trying alongside everyone else!
