A Kick in the Butt!
NaNoWriMo
This is an announcement for The Mit and The Billows. I have needed a kick in the butt to really knuckle down on the story and wrestle it into something I'll be happy with. NaNoWriMo is just that kick, and this November will be filled with updates on the story. I will be posting them over on my NaNoWriMo world, yes I created an entire world for the annual challenge. Not to fear if you don't want to head over there, I will be posting the results of the NaNo here under The Mit and The Billows (likely after doing some editing), but there will be a delay as Worldember follows on the heels of NaNo. For more information please head over to my NaNoWriMo 2022 Opening Statements.
Hey there! Long time no post in here. It's not that I don't love this world, just that I've been unexpectedly focused on Sleyterra lately. It's starting to shape up quite nicely. I think splitting NaNo and Worldember between these two separate projects is a good idea. Ask me in January if I regret packing the schedule so full...

I can't wait to get started. I'm doing a deeper dive into the world-building and story structure. Part of my problem with the first draft is I had a great idea for conflict and a final resolution that made no sense with what was already on the page, but there are some really nice scenes that I loved. Buckle up, November is gonna be a wild ride.
