Transcendence

After thousands of years the Grand Galactic Republic reigns over two thirds of the Milky Way galaxy. The GGR expanded at near light speed, but wormhole networks within the GGR allowed fast then light travel. This level of near instant trade and travel along with a government dedicated to the protection of it's people allowed the sentients of the galaxy to develop vast technologies.The sentients of the GGR have become god like with technology, as wormholes allow them to spread their consciousness throughout the explored galaxy. As the GGR expanded across the galaxy the republic as come across few sentient species, all of which eventually joined the GGR. It is known that life was rare, much more rare for sentient life, in the galaxy before the rise of the GGR. Now as the GGR continues to expand slowly at near light speed the have come across Earth. Earth having yet to travel throughout their own system now comes face to face with the rest of the Galaxy. The GGR has began the Alignment process of Earth by appointing General Zoo as Governor along with there Justices, Justice Scorn, Justice Doubt, and Justice Balancer.
