Appearance
Scrawlings is a larger hyrin who is very round and fluffy and about 4'6" in height. She appears somewhat similar to a chow chow dog. She wears very elaborately patterned clothing, especially her long jacket which depicts stylized sea serpents and tropical flowers. She also has various art materials such as a calligraphy brush, paint brushes, and small canisters of paint strapped around her waist, along with a small dagger. She usually has a very jovial demeanor./*Background
Scrawlings was born a stray and lived out most of her childhood with other strays. But her family was tracked down and came under scrutiny by the local ruling clan. Many of them were killed, but she was allowed to pledge her loyalty to officially join the clan because of her artistic talent. Though it allowed her opportunity to develop her artistic sensibilities, she was never given much privilege nor did she ever warm to her clan leaders. Feeling the life to be listless, it finally became unbearable, and she left to live as a stray again. She had been living on the coast among pirates and working as a freelance artist for a while when she met Beja and the two have been inseparable since.

Though she had little affect for her old clan, she has strong feelings about her role in life as a cuutan. Storytelling, calligraphy, and painting are vital to her life, almost as vital as her relationship to Beja. But stories are not just works of art to her, but a way to unite people, to find what is important, to imagine a better future and honor the past.

She and Beja are married according to travira customs. Beja became the captain of a pirate crew and Scrawlings followed them at every step. Scrawlings has used her skills to decorate the ship, including the sails and hull, and even helped come up with the name.Relationships
