When an elf who was a warrior reaches the courtyard of the Palace of Lugh in the Summerlands, it is said that they are met with an enormous Ironwood Tree that glitters with jewels like stars in its leaves. It oozes sap from a thousand wounds, so old that the drops have crystalized into amber. Dangling from this tree are thousands of swords. This is the Tree of Swords and Jewels. An elven warrior who comes here may choose to hang their sword (or any other weapon) in the branches of the Tree, and never have to fight again.
