God of Commerce and Trade KarrTahl , the Lawgiver (a.k.a. Tahlee)
KarrTahl the Lawgiver is the Goblin God of Commerce, Trade and Organization. Once a mortal goblin, Karr'Tahl lived his life and died young, a martyr, and was apotheosised upon his death. Many things have been credited to this deity, though most he was just a part of, and others he had nothing to do with. He is credited with "civilising" the goblins and giving then the cartel structure, but in truth, he learned the structure of the cartel from those who had gone before and though he may have been a serious part of the civilisation of goblins, this was simply due to his codifying the rules discussed with Donmagno Gerdan Meteorswarm into The Book of the Law. Truths be told, KarrTahl was barely literate when he inherited the Mithrilblade Cartel and much of the revered book was actually penned by Sharisoha.

Tenets of Faith
The Book of the Law is an indepth rulebook to guide a goblin in all aspects of social dealings and at all walks of life. It details the obligation and rights of every level of society from Slave to Donmagno.

General Physical Condition
Before his death at the hands of an unknown assassin KarrTahl was in excellent physical condition with the build and bodily health of a goblin 10 years younger. That is why his death was so surprising.

Strong, rugged, features with a broad nose and jaw and a roguish smile.
Identifying Characteristics
KarrTahl the Superstitious came from a Viking culture, thus he always wore a hoop earring in each ear. In the left a mithril hoop made from 3 mithril coins (1 oz) worth 300 gp to pay for his trip home after he died and a starmetal hoop made from 3 starmetal coins (1 oz) worth 3000 gp in the right ear to send him off in style when you got him there.
Special abilities
Unbeknownst to all but Shari, KarrTahl was an accomplished telepath, which he used to influence people in all sorts of ways, from diplomacy to manipulation.
Apparel & Accessories
Until his death, and even when his body was found, KarrTahl was never without the mithril rapier that his former boss had given him as a gift after his first confirmed wet job.
Specialized Equipment
KarrTahl wore a signet ring with a tiny retracting pin inside that was reputedly highly poisoned. The ring disappeared when his body was found and never recovered.

Personal history
KarrTahl was born in a small fishing (and lets face it, raiding) village on Isa, called Redblade. When he was 11, human and hobgoblin raiders from the Bull Clan, sacked his village and took every survivor as slaves. KarrTahl, an Ip-Ara'dare, raged at the attack and the boy killed 5 raiders, and was finally cornered after biting off the ear of a man who would become his greatest ally, the Hob Warlord, Radok Threefingers. The Bull leader, Black Angus, saw the cornered goblin boy and after confirming the boy's kills he approached and like lightning grabbed the blade in the boy's hand and thwapped him in the temple with a blackjack. He went down and Angus had the boy brought to his cabin on the warship where he had Shari tend to him.
When he openned his eyes, he woke to the most beautiful goblin maid he had ever seen and was instantly in love and willing to follow her into Hell. He tried to kiss her and she pulled away saying, "I may be a freak but I'm not a pedophile, you're adorable kid, come back when you reach 15."
Angus offered the boy an apprenticeship, using Shari as a translator, as he spoke no Goblin and KarrTahl's Elfin was limited. The boy would do everything he was told and in return, he would be taught by the self-proclaimed "Space's Best Assassin". KarrTahl knew he had little choice and to refuse would probably insult him, and besides, he would be close to the goblin woman who so neatly swatted his libido.
For four years, the youth learned the arts of poison, anatomy, martial arts, gymnastics and acrobatics, and weapons combat. In the meantime, Shari, fending off his advances, taught the kid scholarly arts such as literacy and mathematics. When the boy turned 15, the first person he told was Sharisoha. She told him that she would teach him everything he wanted to know about sex but if Angus ever caught them, he'd kill her, so she was scared.
KarrTahl said he could easily kill the fool, but who would lead the Bulls, so Sharisoha convinced him that he could do it. So, they hatched a plan to simply walk up to Angus, wait for him to turn his back and stab him with the rapier he gave KarrTahl; and that is what happened. They walked together into Angus' tower office and Angus, oblivious to KarrTahl's impending betrayal, ordered Shari to pour them both a mead and for KarrTahl to join him at the window. The Goblin Assassin approached the unaware Clan Lord from behind, slowly and silently, covered by Sharisoha's charming small talk, slipped his rapier into his hand and with one deft move slid the blade into his ribcage, slicing his kidney and piercing his heart.
So painful is a stab in the kidney that it will silence the victim and a split second later, the lifeless corpse of Black Angus fell from the tower window, shattering on the cobblestones below. His men came rushing in demanding to know what happened and KarrTahl confided that Angus found out about Shari's feeling for him and was livid with jealousy. He was going to kill them both and KarrTahl was simply defending himself and his lover. When the less-than-well-educated men of the Bull Clan were wondering who would lead them now, an argument broke out between Tom Hardy who fancied himself the brightest of the lot and Lorne Little who was definitely the toughest. KarrTahl solved the argument with a poisoned blade to the kidney of Little and turned to the "smarter" man. Hardy asked if that meant he supported his bid, KarrTahl said, "no I just figured I got one of you, so I chose brains, did I choose wrong?" The genius took a full six seconds to register what Don Karr'Tahl was saying before opening his mouth to object. That's when Radok hit him, laying the weaselly human out on the floor and asked if any one else objected.
The restructure was simple, the Clan was divided up into 6 "man" teams called ves'a that answer to a single Kax'Ves or team leader/corporal. There was a lead ves'a called a kax'ves'a with 5 sergeants called Raa'toka (members of your own team are referred to as your Ves and others in this 6-team group as Toka) and one squadron leader/lieutenant called a Vee. this 42 "man" formation is known as a Ves-ka, and six ves-ka make a Kax'ves-ka lead by a captain called a Kax'Vee. This was the basic goblin cartel structure that KarrTahl grew up with.
A year later the highly charismatic leader of a small cartel swore himself to an even more charismatic leader of the Meteors Cartel and helped form the Dragan Syndicate, the first real Goblin power in space. Donmagno Gerdan Meteorswarm groomed his young apprentice to be a leader of goblins par none, and he and the young man would stay up many hours drinking and philosophising as KarrTahl codified the rules into what would become his Book. He was right beside Gerdan when he signed The Solstice Pact and stood with him as the syndicate's forces were mashed against the Avalonian War Machine. When Gerdan retired, in 4626, he named KarrTahl as Donmagno, though he was assassinated by one of the Dons in the first year of his administration. Gerdan was devistated. A power vaccuum ensued, and the manipulative Dons vied for KarrTahl's position but the Twice-Blessed Son of KarrTahl, Durga Mithrilblade rose quickly to prominence and even before he was officially sworn in as Donmagno, he ordered the other five Dons to turn over the one responsible for his father's death. When they all feigned ignorance, the new Donmagno declared the five of them Il-muk, and they were quickly...liquidated. He then pulled together the six cartels, and declared that they would follow the Warlord Elatha into exile.
KarrTahl's ashes were finally put to rest by an aged Durga in the Tomb of Elatha, in the years following the Foundation. The ashes were lost during the occupation.

From adolescence, he was taught combat arts and cruelty from his harsh master and learned books and numbers from his gentle mistress. Gerdan saw to it that the young man was cosmopolitan in his knowledges.

From adolescence, KarrTahl was employed as an assassin by Black Angus until becoming Don of the Mithrilblade Cartel, where he administered until his promotion to Donmagno of the Dragan Syndicate.
