Sackerton heard them agree to this, and was forced to kill his own men alongside the enemy Wolfmen. From that point on, he is said to have harbored a grudge against Fenns, which is why he broke off their alliance when he became Tsar. People doubt this, saying he didn't like Fenns before then, but he has dismissed these claims.
However, it is said that this sacrifice, of killing his own men, saved countless Mishan lives. Mishans who could have died thanks to betrayal were saved by Sackerton's noble murder of his own men.
Guyug the Wolfman by Jarhed
Tsar of the Mishans
The Wolfman known as Guyug killed the Tsar of the Mishans, who did not have any heirs. When candidates were brought up for replacement, Sackerton's claim to fame was raised. A notable soldier who defended his kingdom over his men. That was a worthy leader.
Immediately, Sackerton disbanded their alliance with the Fenns, joining the Wolfmen and Frost Giants in opposition to them instead. He also changed the form of government. He understood that he was just a soldier and was not fit for legislation. So he removed much of the power a Tsar had, giving it to an elected group known as the Ice Council instead. With this, Sackerton was able to pick half of the council (100 men) while the people elected the other half.
Dreams of Outside
Sackerton has expressed interest in Elone and the remainder of Totania. He wishes to work with the
World Court and has joined the
International Prosperity League as one of its newest member states.
Despite this, Sackerton and his forces have not left
Moroza. Instead, he sent out Boris Nesti as his representative to Elone, to study magic alongside others like Guyug at the
Magic College of
Zephys. He hopes Boris can foster good relations there, as Boris is a friendly and lovable man.
Caddos Damolnath by Jarhed
Invasion of Elone
During the
Grand Crowning, Tsar Sackerton led the united forces of Moroza in an invasion of Elone. During it, they were bombarded by the forces of the Magic College.
Boris Nesti was one of the people who fought against Sackerton, though it was mostly a group of three third year students:
Caddos Damolnath, Head Priest of
Phrixus and King of the Northern Nereid Kingdom was the leader of these forces. Alongside him was Silentium, the Devilish Assassin, and Zaud Foot Marauder, an
Orcish Chief.
Timar Forestarm by Jarhed
Sackerton was alongside other forces, such as Pack Leader Yakiv. They easily held off the enemies, tossing them onto an island where they were taken care of by Head Priests of Helle and Amukk, Linfire and Vornush Wrakris.
After this, the Morozan forces made it off the coast of Elone, where they were in sight of former
Court Wizard and now King of the Kingdom of Man,
Timar Forestarm, who had gained his power in the same Grand Crowning that Sackerton was now exploiting for his own power.
Timar crushed the Morozan fleet with ease, using his
Earth Magic to make plants that killed Yakiv and all of Sackerton's forces.
Etcher by Jarhed
Vampire Luth
Sackerton would find himself floating down the river that led from Nerodil to the Elven Forest. He couldn't exactly swim, but he was not very dense due to his muscle ability.
Because of this, he floated for a long time until he crashed onto the Elven Shores.
Here, he was confronted by the
Great Vampire Lord,
Dresmorlin Cobath, who offered him either death or a role entertaining Dresmorlin. However, someone else stepped in to mediate: a
Korvian named Etcher.
Dresmorlin Cobath by Jarhed
Etcher had failed his gambit in the Grand Crowning, trying to kill the Korvian King Tyrant. For this, he know sought power, and was able to convince Dresmorlin to make him a Vampire Lord.
Captain Marnis by Jarhed
Using his newfound power, Etcher made Sackerton a servant of his own power: A Vampire Luth.
Rampage through the Elven Forest
Sackerton submitted, believing he could use Etcher's power grab to get land for the Mishans. However, Sackerton still insisted he was the Tsar. Etcher ignored this and set him loose.
Sackerton rampaged through the forest, killing Elven Sous-Captain Repos and sending other Aspirant Captains like Rapport, Monstre, and Deces running scared.
It was this battle, however, which led to
Captain of the First Corps Marnis Goriish coming after him. Marnis would not stand for any of his subordinates dying, and so his rage poured out against Sackerton, tearing into the Tsar.
Two defeats in a row was a humbling experience for Sackerton, but not in the way many would take being humbled. It did not make Sackerton believe he was weak, but instead made him think he should just try harder. So he finally decided to listen to Etcher and go for Etcher's target. The one who stopped his plans and betrayed him:
Sinner Caerxan.
Sinner Caerxan by Jarhed
Target: Waire
Sinner Caerxan had recently become
Village Chief of the Draconian Village known as
Waire. Dresmorlin Cobath had destroyed it, but with the help of the man who tried to stand up to Sackerton, Silentium, Sinner was able to rebuild it.
Sackerton took this personally. When Sinner and his friends were celebrating the newly reconstructed Waire, Sackerton ran through it, rampaging and finding an underground passageway in a nearby clearing, which he ran from Sinner through.
Sinner chased Sackerton into the tunnels, battling him and holding out well, but each of them had tricks to stop the other. Sinner could mimic Sackerton's strength, but Sackerton could grow stronger and more durable.
Eventually, Sackerton started running away, and Sinner found his egg hatching, so he allowed Sackerton to flee.
However, Sackerton returned a little over a year later, seeking revenge. He destroyed a portion of the Village, but was held off by a merchant named Dath Redhunter. Dath had little he could do, but it was against Sackerton that Dath unlocked his magic, wanting to protect the village and return to his family.
Sinner, along with the son that he had watched hatch instead of hunting down Sackerton, came and rescued Dath. Then, they were able to fight against Sackerton. Paragon, Sinner's son, was only one year old and therefore was unable to contribute much, so Sinner told him to stay behind.
Dath surrounded them in a ring of fire, which trapped Sackerton so he couldn't destroy more of the village, and Sinner used this ring as a place to keep Sackerton trapped while they fought. It limited Sackerton's strength and allowed Sinner to use his crafty skills against the Tsar.
Ultimately, Sinner erased Sackerton with his flames, utterly destroying the Mishan Tsar in a way that few would ever know. Many thought he died when Timar Forestarm destroyed the Mishan fleet, and any who knew of his rampages through the Elven Forest would fail to believe that was actually the once proud Tsar of the Mishans. He died a pathetic man grasping for power and pride, yet with neither.
Workris Galkan by Jarhed
Personal Opinions
While not many facts are known about Sackerton, Workris Galkan did ask him some questions during the interview, of which we have answers. Here is the answer to the question of "What do you think of the World Court?"
"The World Court is justice, of course. They mean to bring peace to the world, no matter the cost. It is an admirable goal that I would help them with in any way I could."— Tsar Sackerton
The last question Galkan asked him was "For the record, what do you fight for?"
"I fight for peace and prosperity. Anyone who goes against that is my enemy, and I don't care who that is. I'll make a mark in this unjust world."— Tsar Sackerton
