Feldus Iorbor

Feldus Iorbor was a mad scientist from Yirthum. He is thought to be one of the most insane researchers to remain in Draconian history.

Early Life

Feldus Iorbor was raised in Yirthum and rarely left his village. He became entranced with enchanted items at a young age, and desired to study this art of magic.   One day came when Feldus was caught in an explosion with a strange item known as the "Holy Hand Grenade" his hair was blown back to a point where it looked to be sticking up. Ever since, this look has been commonly associated with the Mad Scientist look.

Career

Feldus Iorbor was a scholar specializing in magical artifacts. For this, he ran tests on various artifacts to see what would happen. Many of these included tests on living people, either using the artifact on them or having them use the artifact.   His most famous experiment features the Flame of Bortan, having people use it to destroy a statue. He had also had them not use the Flame, seeing how much that changed their destructive power. The results are believed to be inconclusive, but Iorbor was killed by the Chief of Bortan before he could release his findings.   "Pulling an Iorbor" today is meant to be a sign of insanity, trying the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Yirthum

Yirthum is a Draconian village considered to be the weakest of them all. This is because Yirthum's study lies more in basic magic, as well as enchantment.   For this, they have many people that study enchantment, both existing ones and how to make new ones. This is why most Draconian scholars are likely to study either there or at the Magic College.   Yirthum often is the brunt of jokes from other villages, especially Bortan and Evity, who consider themselves superior to Yirthum. Yirthum has, however, had quite a large amount of successful mages come from it, and even more powerful artifacts made there have landed in the hands of important folks.
