The color flower is a plant to be found on Toon Planet only. It has a very important use since the ink-like nectar can be used to color any object. Toons can also color their hair and add tattoos on their body parts with it if they want to. To use the nectar of the color flower, all you need is a paintbrush.
Color flowers come in all colors. Their nectar can only be used for coloring, not for creating.

Basic Information

Anatomy

A color flower is usually as big as the sunflowers on Earth and almost as shaped as such. Their nectar is bright and rich of color, their petals match the color of the nectar, their stalk is strong and flexible and their leaves are dark green and have an oval shape.7

Genetics and Reproduction

Since they're plants, they need help from Toon bees. Toon bees are experts in transporting seed dust to other flowers. The seed dusts are planted inside the center of the nectar. Once the flower dries out and the petals fall off, it grows a fruit which contains a seed. This is what's called the color berry. The color berry is sweet and juicy, edible for all creatures that are herbivores and omnivores. Once the fruit is eaten, there's only the big stone-like seed left and you can plant it easily. Some fruits come with one to four seeds, depending on how big they have grown.

Growth Rate & Stages

The color flower grows quickly, it only needs a day to grow to its maximum adult size. Afterwards they can live as long as they have enough nectar to be used. Once their nectar has been used to the last drop, they dry out and die.

Ecology and Habitats

Every flower needs sun and water, even the color flower. They can grow everywhere as long as nature or a florist provides them with both.

Conservation Status

Color flowers are easy to take care of, as long as they have enough sunlight and water. Toon florists sell them as well, however, some colors are more expensive than others. Yellow, green, red and white color flowers are very common so they're cheap to get. Blue, violet, pink, orange and other colors are rather uncommon so they cost more.
