Independence Carriages
Mum, look! The snack cart! Can we get some crab, pleaaaaaaase? We never get crab!Independence carriages are horse-drawn vehicles found in Kse Feorton, but only during the Independence Week festivities. They are lavishly decorated and very popular with citizens.
Description
Independence carriages are not a rigidly defined thing. Rather they are a term used to describe any of the many fancily decorated carriages found throughout the country during Independence Week. There are a few categories of them;- Entertainment. These vehicles carry musicians and performers, and are sometimes more akin to parade floats. They will travel along major roads to entertain locals, performing popular music, as well telling stories about the country's fight for independence and various old folktales.
- Snacks. These carriages travel all over to deliver various items of food, which range from small bowls of freshly cooked rice to regional delicacies such as Strelishian crab.
- Transport. These vehicles are even more decorated than their counterparts, and serve the purpose of transporting people to and from the festivities. They aren't very fast, but are very fashionable.
History
Kse Feorton gained its independence in the month of Charity in the year 29 Contact. In each year since, the citizens have celebrated their freedom on its anniversary in a full week of festivities. The use of specially decorated carriages during the event was a later invention, stemming from people adorning their own vehicles with streamers and flags.Independence carriages began to be an official part of festivities beginning in 12 Return, when they were used to bring the newly elected President to the capital. They shortly after graduated to being part of the presidential parade, and snack carriages would arrive after the event to feed the excited crowds.

Joy
Independence carriages, with their bright colours and joyous contents, bring happiness throughout Kse Feorton whenever they are in the area. Some of this is also attributable to the fact that they only come once a year, during the festivities. If one is spotted outside of Independence Week it's a cause for confusion, but they are sometimes brought out for big events. Mostly the snack carriages. Everyone loves a good crab.Delicious Pie by blogmood__
These sound very exciting. I particularly enjoy the idea of crab being one of the main attractions. :D
