Forels (FOUR-uhls)

The vibrant, dazzling arts and culture district of Titan Spire is known as Forels, and it has a magic all its own. Theaters, bookstores and libaries, museums and markets, performances in the streets, apprenticeships to the greatest artisans of our times...the very air is lush with imagination.
This sector of the Central Spire is never silent; the melodies of instrument and voice alike will follow a passerby no matter where they wander, strains of poetry and song unlike anything heard elsewhere. The architecture is grand and sweeping, each building more elaborately adorned than the next.
In the "sky" above, floating islands hang like baubles, each housing an academy of the arts.   Important Locations:
  The Davros Theatre

A statuesque, palatial cathedral to performance stands in the center of the district, its uppermost towers an easy landmark to guide one's travels. Grand staircases surround its base to accommodate the masses that flock to its entertainments every evening. This soaring building houses multiple stages, each in its own wing and billing its own genre - opera, dance, drama, comedy. The four wings imitate the four elemental spires of the city, with the central lobby jutting above like the central spire itself.
Owned by Nikolai and Unati Davros, an obscenely wealthy couple who have an unusual amount of autonomy from the Elemental Lords.   The Arches
An art gallery in an architectural gallery, each arch houses a different and wonderous work of art. Some are sculptural, some are paintings on canvas hung in midair, still others defy categorization. Rows and rows of these arches line the open air gallery, each with a walkway atop it and another set of arches lining that. One could wander for hours here and never see it all, and the installations change without warning, sometimes overnight, but there's an uncanniness to this place that tends to lead its visitors straight to the piece that will touch their hearts - or open their purses.
The Market of Crafts and Creations
Like an open-air morrocan market, stalls stretch for blocks selling crafts and wares of all kinds - beautifully glazed pottery, intricately woven baskets, hand-loomed fabrics, carved wooden tools as practical as they are masterful. To operate out of these markets is to walk a fine line between distinguishing yourself enough to make a living, but not so much as to catch the attention of the Fire Lord their grace Elio Rhys, who's always hunting for talent to add to their Collective in the Elemental Spire of Fire - only the young and foolishly ambitious believe that to be the boon it seems.
  The Unfinished Library

There are many, many locations in Forel where one could find books to borrow or purchase, but none can hope to compete with the Unfinished Library in terms of stock. Every book, scroll, tome, and other form of knowledge laid down in Titan Spire has its pair appear on the ever-expanding shelves of this supernatural location. Its layers spiral outward and seem infinite, yet a Librarian can always fetch the exact volume needed within minutes.   The Pavillion
Essentially a vast empty courtyard, day and night this space is filled with buskers, clowns, mimes, magicians, and any number of other folks looking to perfect their arts and perhaps earn a coin or two in the process.   The Academy Isles
These floating landmasses house the most coveted institutions in the city, each dedicated to a separate discipline. While most focus on the arts, such as the schools of writing, painting, and eloquation, there are some that depart into fighting and magicks.
