Elves
It is said that the three races of elves were formed when ancient tribes decided on a division of labor and over time each tribe specialized until they were hardly recognizable as the same race. The Sea Elves live amphibiously on the coasts of Elven islands and produce the majority of the food for the island; Wood Elves live further inland and produce the people's durable goods; and High Elves live deep at the center of the island and make up the spiritual, magical, and technological core of the race. Each sees their role as the most important but acknowledges the importance of the other two.
Elven culture moves and changes slowly due to their long lives (350 years on the high end) and they generally prefer to do master an know way of doing things rather than adopt new ways. However when they do set their mind to inventing or making something new they build to stand the test of time, no expense is spared to build structures and develop practices that will be used by generations of elves to come.
The Elves of Tino'moutre are serious and measured but excel at their chosen areas of expertise. For an elf the most important thing at the end of the day is to have done everything right and success is assured to follow. They would prefer to practice their craft than carouse most of them time, but when they do it is to appreciate the craft that goes into good spirits and entertainment.
Age
Elves mature slowly relative to other races, tending to reach adulthood in their 30s and typically living to be between 300 and 350 years old.Alignment
Elves value structure and tradition above all else and strongly tend to lawfulness, however the traditions that many elves live by provide only loose guidelines and leave space for exploration of individual freedoms for those who seek a more chaotic path. Elves are most often good aligned, however for some that innate goodness is superseded by the structures of a ordered culture. Elves are most often one of the good alignments, or true neutral.
