Ferrum Fracto (Frecs)

The canon ball grew as big as the horizon and I leapt, broadening the rope of my bow with the arrow. My ears tickle with a twang and I spiral around Giovanni. We were in sync; his sword would pierce their armour and I would top it off with a swift blow to the neck for a garnish.
“Ezra!” I yelled.
He held the canon ball as he used one of the last ounces of his element left, ingesting it into nothingness.

Utility

A few decades ago the Lamentari empire hit a brick wall whilst rummaging an Island off the coast of the Valley of Lament. Their supplies had been slowly decreasing through the years and casualities began to increase with every new encounter. They were simply not as good as they thought they were, yes they were rich but strong ? Not like how they were back in the day, not now anyway. The Lamentari had to find other means, they needed to find effiency within the empire. Thus a new age had arised, an age of progress and with it, an ex-soldier, a man named Feris arose, a fiery and innovative spirit whose sole aim is to fight for his land and people.

The cannon is strictly used as a last resort in warfare. One must load the cannon with Mesphus and wait for exactly 3 seconds. The Mesphus is highly reactive and will cause an explosion, which will roughly cover the same area as a modern shopping centre and could kill anyone who dares get in the way. Mesphus is quite rare to find despite being a relatively new discovery therefore use is limited.

Inventor(s)

Feris Mithra, a Lamentari from north Lament. He is the current ruler of the Lamentari outskirts and a custodian of Castelle Obex. He is the inventor of the Ferrum Fracto.

Access & Availability

The Frecs are a hidden piece of technology mostly known to only a few who belong to higher governmental positions. They have been in under the provsion of the Lamentari government in the Castelle Obex, one of the many bases they have across the valley and in their colonies. As the Frecs are used only in warfare they are indeed rare to find and even rarer outside the valley of Lament.

Discovery

The Ferrum Fracto is an iron cannon, 5M x 6M ( size may increase). Technological Progress skyrocketed within just a decade due the discovery of the Mesphus, a special type of Gunpowder. Due to this, warefare tactics have greatly improved and so has the inventions of new and better weapons.
