Welcome, welcome dear adventurer,   I hope you pick up this volume before you start your undoubtedly perilous, journeys for in this book you will find everything you need to survive in our beautiful though dangerous world, Tiarnan. In this book you will find reports of the various regions my faithful companions and myself travelled through in our journey around the world, supplemented with histories from the The Gallerean Library, descriptions of the peoples that litter the civilized (and uncivilized lands) letters from contacts spread out over all the continents and, for you as an adventurer most likely the reason you took this book in your hand, practical tips for survival and rumors of treasure that my dear bodyguard Aoife would rather have chased.   Our journeys took us from the Northlands of Eciclis to the wind-torn Stormlands in Meridon to the burning warmth of the Uqan Desert and the Forests of Welestil.   A note of care: while most regions are open to any traveller, some regions and nations are less so. It is of these places that rumors are used to add a certain substance to the factual knowledge available.
