It is with a heavy hand I transcribe our world's histories
Our world was born from blood and shadow; a time when ravenous barbarians roamed many of our great civilizations, pillaging and plundering, claiming our women and children as slaves for their dark desires; when cultists of the dark gods corrupted verdant lands with pestilence and plague, corrupted by the dark will of Chaos.
Now demons roam our realms, ransacking humble villages, and turning the helpless into twisted macabre trophies. The undead enthrall our fallen and most devout with promises of immortality denying them eternal serenity in the afterlife.
The holiest of men and clergy preach that these times are a test of faith in the gods, and yet little has changed; the gods slumber in their ethereal halls, while untold suffering grips the civilized world. We are now little more than livestock in the eyes of those sworn to the darkened void beyond our ken in the dawn of this new era, this Age of Chaos.
