Facial Features

He has a thin lipped smirk on constantly. His eyebrows crush his eyes into narrow rectangles as he's constantly squinting. He might be deep in thought or he might just need glasses.

Identifying Characteristics

He has a tattoo of a dragon curling around his arm. It's on the upper part of his arm and onto his shoulder, so it's not readily visible unless he's wearing sleeveless shirts or is topless. Because he's vain, he often walks around topless when not on the surface.

Caylen has personified himself off of the dune dragons--taking what they want whenever they want it. At a young age, he began guardian training, but was kicked out due to insubordination and recklessness. He has soured on the current Accords-structure of Numab society and started his own pirating crew. Pirates have been known to crop up in the Borderlands from time to time, but Caylen takes it a step further in that he is willing to break the Accords and risk the peace and stability the Numab have known for generations. He sees himself as a truly free spirit, shaking off the shackles of both Numabian and Piromese culture, and carving out a space for those who live in the in between. As such, he has recruited mostly from border towns like Deefin Gate and terrorizes caravans along the Shield Mounts.

Education

He has no formal education outside of his limited stint as an apprentice working towards becoming a Guardian. He has mostly learned through a need to survive.

When he was kicked out of the apprenticeship for the Guardians, he bounced around jobs and places. He worked in the mines along the Spine. He worked in the factories at Deefin Gate. He even worked as a caravan worker for an expedition. He was charismatic and at first was a popular employee at every venture. However, at each job, he soured on what he considered the overbearing nature of working and his bosses. So he struck out to live life on his own terms. Fascinated by dragons and their presence to make everyone else change course, he modeled himself after them. He started a pirating crew under the idea that if they were terrible enough, they could take whatever they wanted and no one would stand a chance against them. So far that theory has proved true, though he has garnered the attention of authorities of all border cities, the Numab's Guardians, and the Piromese military. It's only a matter of time before someone ventures out to slay the dragon pirate.

Intellectual Characteristics

He is very charismatic and has a way of enchanting people to his cause. He has star powered magnetism that inspires loyalty and admiration in his followers. He is also clever in that he's been able to evade authorities across the entire borderlands while also maintaining his crews living needs and continuing to raid trade routes. However, he knows its only a matter of time before someone finds them and tries to end them, so he is incredibly paranoid and on the look out for a rat. He struggles when he's not the one in charge of things.

Motivation

He wants to be famous and to have stories told about him for a long time. He doesn't care if he's the villain or the hero. He also wants to live freely and without pain, taking what he can rather than making it himself. He sees modern society as a cruel trap that grinds a person into nothingness and he wants to burn it all down.
