Cradle
Cradle is a large basin surrounded on all sides by steep unscalable mountains. There are high and low points within the basin, and the area is generally split into 9 sub-biomes.
The kingdoms within Cradle are:
1 Stigia - a widespread area nestled within the hills in North/north-east Cradle. People in this area are both gentle and wild, with many citizens valuing physical strength and capabilities more than cleverness or cunning. Despite this, Stigia also has a large proportion of citizens who are spiritual. Deigning the binding structure of Tanig's main temple, people of Stigia focus more on nature and wild magics as ruling forces. For it is the land from which we all were derived, and it is the land to which we shall all return. While some of the forces rampant in Stigia are well meaning, there are also many a trickster hidden among the hills and forests. There are a few large bloodlines that are prominent in Stigia, and every once in a while violence, oppression, or marriage leads the a shift in political power. The so-called clans of Stigia are not so restricted as they would have you believe. Many clans value love (platonic and familial) and are willing to accept anyone into their families whom they take an interest in.
2 Pitor - Pitor rests over the waters of Cradle, and in particular the southern most side of Marid Bay. Much of the city spans across intricate dock like structures which hold the buildings above the waves. There are also some structures built upon boats and rafts, which leads to many outsiders having difficulty traversing the city. Many citizens of Pitor are secretive and non-trusting. People here follow there own rules, and as such they tend to have difficulties with the Cradle Military. Despite the mistrust abound, Pitor also values joy and what some call hedonism. There are often festivals and parties to be found in the night, if one knows where to look. Many citizens have their own unique values and beliefs, making it hard to identify overarching attitudes. Pitor is also one of those places where you can find just about anything you're looking for, as long as you can pay for it. Some even go so far as it call it the land of experts. Others simply believe that it is filled with traders looking for any way to con you out of your money.
3 Tanig - The city closest to Oloryn, Tanig is full of many loyalists and now retired guard members. As such, the city is often crawling with guards. Aside from these warriors, many citizens of Tanig are peasants. The people of Tanig work to make a living, often farming to feed their families. While the constant guards lead to little opportunity for rebellion, there are a few small groups around who disapprove of the way the Counsel runs Cradle. Aside from these groups, it could be said the the ruling faction of Tanig is the royal guard.
4 Oloryn - The heart of cradle, Oloryn is home to many nobles and merchants. It acts as the center for overarching governmental proceedings, as well as where shipments from Outside are received. About half of Oloryn's population is wealthy, living in the splendor of the capitol. They dress to the nines for balls, they spend at casinos, they indulge in everything they can. Though a bit snobbish, this portion of Oloryn has everything they want. The other half are the poor of the poor. The only opportunities even given to them is doing odd jobs that no one wants to do, even things that are detrimental to their health. Many die, though the exact number is unknown since no one cares to keep track. Surprisingly, both sides of Oloryn are very loyal to the Counsel.
5: Fringe - people outside of kingdom walls and domain, mainly peaceful farmers and travelers. With little government influence, these people rely mainly on an honor system, and it has worked so far. Much of the population survives off of bartering, and the people of the fringe are friendly and rely on their neighbors. For the most part, everyone helps each other. They are under some influence of the government, but it is so far removed that there is truly no control. Some renegades and defectors can be found in this group, though they are the minority. Most who live here are content in the lives they live and prefer to be out of the Counsel's jurisdiction.
6: Outside - Mostly unknown, the Outside is what lies beyond the mountains of Cradle. Shipments are flown in every so often, but that is all most people know.

I want to add 2 more cities, albeit small ones, and reconfigure the map. The current map shows the cities too big, a 2-3 day walk from one end of the city to the other. Get some space in there!
