Red Desert

An artificially created desert in the northwestern region of Namghel . It was created when the Red Dragon was slain in battle by the current dragon rulers. The region was previously heavily forested similar to the Gold Region east of it but the dragon's death caused a heat wave that decimated all life and created a barren wasteland. Any attempts to trek through the desert were met with a quick death due to thirst and heat exhaustion. As such the desert is commonly used as a death sentence as anyone who enters dies in a matter of hours.
