The Banishment of 3333

By mandate of the Greco-Roman Division, I, Grand Oracle and High Priestess of Apollo and Sol -- Isabella Argos --decree that the 3333 gods of yore be banished under contempt of the heavens, and their domains split between the other pantheons. The gods of Mt. Olympus agree that these past immortals lack the division and divine right to their domains.   As advised by the Roman Council, the minor gods and goddesses shall be absorbed as well. We thank you for your devotion, for your power, for your lore and myth, but as a society to survive we must purge the weak. Your power shall serve well in the survival of the Greco-Roman Division. We shall thrive from your sacrifice.   By the power of Apollo and Sol, by blessing of Zeus, this is the new truth, so mote it be.
On March 3rd, 3333 AT, at 3 A.M., the divine council of the Greco-Roman Division came together. Led by Zeus, Sol, Apollo, and Athena, 3333 gods and various immortals were purged from the domain of the Greco-Roman Division, casting aside to the mortal hills of Thrae to be absorbed, faded, or killed.    As the Age of Rebellion births the new gods of Thrae, some becoming more powerful with the resurgence of hope and divine, the gods of yore weaken. As a result, the divine council of the material plane and the gods themselves on the ethereal plane communicated their best plan of action. By limiting the amount of gods there would be more followers per god, and their religion would once again thrive.    Many of the other religions scorned this idea, especially the Asgardians. Loki especially was displeased to witness the deaths of various gods of chaos. While he gained more notoriety and more divine power and domain, he became disgusted by the Greco-Roman ethic.    These banished gods became the forgotten gods, joining the ranks of the gods of yore who never mustered enough power to remain in power of their own domains. Some of them clung to certain titles, small links of their domain still in their clutches as the obscure field could not be divided. It is rumored that many of the survivors of the Banishment of 3333 still linger on Earth today.   However in recent years, it has been a game to some immortals to hunt down those who were banished and ensure that they fade.
