Ling Lun
Player: Jake | Race: Tiefling | Class: Bard (Lore)
Praise for I want to be your crow: "Ling Lun is the shining cornerstone dizi and pipa player, weaving a magical sound that transports the audience at least as much as the set and book" - Orchestra Daily "Second only to Keyfielle for star status is Ling Lun, who’s lyrical sense shows an accomplishment beyond his young age” - Lotus ReviewLing Lun is widely considered to be the finest and most talented musician of his generation. He learned his trade outside the big smoke but has quickly begun to build a reputation in more refined circles. He most recently leant his prodigious talents to the Majestic Professor Nebuchadnezzar’s Magical Theatre of Dreams, whose fortunes were not the same before, nor have they been since, although it is not clear why he left. He beguiles those lucky enough to meet him, and more than a few fall hopelessly in love with him. Indeed, he has been arrested at least once for being 'too sexy' as per the guard report. He simply walks to the beat of a different muyu. It is said that he does not perspire. Lun’s outstanding combat abilities seem to be the apotheosis of his musicianship, sounding melodies so pure that they tap into the creative energy of the very universe, and including a memorable incident in which he caused the death of a rabid, giant, fey wolf on the strength of a whisper. He has, however, recently experimented with two jade scimitars he has named Keyfielle and Zufu, becoming a whirling death machine that slices through his enemies with unnerving delight cast across his stunning features. He is 6’3, slight but well-built, with maroon-mahogany skin, four rakish horns and eyes said to change with his mood as a result of his infernal power. Lun is impulsive and usually acts before thinking, but has displayed a tender, non-judgemental side, quick to see others’ points of view, even to a fault, and unwilling to attack unless he feels threatened. He is callous about most people but has recently shown willingness to take great risks for the Professor, with whom he presumably has a strong tie.
Trivia:
Lun expresses his feeling by writing poetry, in rare cases giving pieces to those for whom they are written. He is aware of how corny this is. Lun has a strong liking for Kentucky Fried Chitten and carries a stash with him on his adventures. Lun used to be a Swords bard, but after the death of Sekket felt as though he would have been able to help if he had been more in tune with his magic, rather than his martial prowess. He studied up on old magic and changed to a Lore bard instead. He does still have scimitar proficiency though since it seemed a shame to lose it.Contacts:
