House Haruhel / The Dragon-Hunters
House Haruhel is colloquially known as the dragon-hunting house. Most of said hunting is known to take place in the unforgiving region of The Frost, and the House headquarters are located in the southernmost region of Umbral Key territory.
Bakanase was ignorant of the pseudodragon plot, believing that his House had been broken into like everyone else. He had a minor breakdown when the truth was revealed and chucked the group out of his headquarters to face the legal repercussions by himself.
Domei: The second in command - one who is increasingly in control of Haruhel's matters and finances as Bakanase steps down. He seems polite, but aloof.
Domei was later revealed to have betrayed House Haruhel by orchestrating a theft of a supply of pseudodragons. His reasoning behind this appears to have been a) to acquire a lot of money to the person he handed them to and b) to steer the house away from pseudodragon breeding and back to dragon-hunting, aka 'the good old days'
Caina: The house's security chief. Distinctly unfriendly to outsiders, though this is described as typical of a 'Frost-edger', someone who has grown up on the fringes of Thousand's society. She is however very loyal to her house, especially Bakanase.
Caina was revealed as innocent in the Haruhel scandal, although she did blame the group for 'stirring up trouble'.
Yalam & Axiu: Haruhel's pseudodragon breeder, a reserved middle-aged man who is considerably better with dragonkin than he is with people. He has a white wyrmling named Axiu who curls about his shoulders and occasionally hisses to him in draconic tongue. Axiu can be conversed with in draconic, although he's largely hostile to strangers.
Yalam is so good at his job that the house has all but stopped dragon hunting in favour of the breeding market, which is just as lucrative and a lot less dangerous. This makes him somewhat unfavoured by house warriors who feel House Haruhel's reliance on his trade is making it lose its touch.
Yalam was revealed as innocent in the Haruhel scandal, and took the loss of his hand-reared pseudodragons very personally. He promptly quit House Haruhel and vowed to pursue punishments for both Domei's crimes and Bakanase's negligence.

Bakanase: A half-orc with blue-tinged skinned, giving away his affliction of Frost-Blood, which is debilitating and ultimately fatal.Bakanase is nearing the end of his short lifespan, which can be read in his stiff, clumsy movements and that he prefers to keep a roaring fire in his office. He has stated that he hopes to die comfortably, rather than gloriously.
