Battle of the mire

The battle of the mire was one of the most decisive events in the Iron war, swaying the tide of the war greatly into the organic's favor.

The marshlands proved to be a difficult terrain for both sides, the races of flesh were susceptible to disease from the dirty water, whilst the War-forged had difficulties moving through the marshes without seizing up, due to plants getting entangled in their gears.
Up to this point, the Clockwork colossus was a force of pure destruction, annihilating whole squads single handedly. The battle was almost lost thanks to this powerful creation, but the mire provided the druids of Candlelight the perfect opportunity to strike it down. Utilizing the vines in the trees and the weeds in the waters, the druids, with great effort, tore the 50ft Colossus apart, rendering it completely immobile.

The Conflict

Outcome

The army of Candlelight was able to push the War-forged back further into the mire and destroy and secure the Clockwork Colossus.

Aftermath

The War-forged army was unable to take back the ground they had lost without the Colossus and a stalemate was reached, eventually leading to an end to the war.
