Kel'druga's Blood Daggers
Kel'druga was said to be one of the primal entities of Thormose long before written time. A horrid creature from the sea which would capture people that wandered too far into the seas. It is said that a group of 5 sought out Kel'druga to learn more about it. They did so to protect their tribes, so many sought out Kel'druga to slay it, but were never heard from again. Kel'druga was skeptical but offered a test. It was blood that it sought, blood that nourished and supplied it with power. Kel'druga ripped 5 barbs from its tentacles and fashioned them into daggers. Swirled designs etched into the blades and handles allowed blood to pool into a reservoir within.
"Blood for safety", guttered Kel'druga in an ancient language, presenting the daggers to the 5, "Go forth, return."
They each took a dagger respectively. They could feel a dark energy around these items. 1 attempted to cut his hand to witness its power, in horror the dagger stopped halfway and began to drink deeply from the wound. They made attempts to dislodge the dagger, but it only let go once only a dried husk remained. Taking his dagger, they could feel the red liquid slosh within the hilt, it took so much, but only filled a tiny amount. They debated what must be done. They gathered a small band together and sought out other tribes. Many were slain and the daggers filled, save for the 5th which only harbored their deceased member.
Returning the daggers they presented them back. Kel'druga gorged, its physical form changing drastically. Blood altered this beast into a horrible monster. One of the members took the 5th blade and drove it into Kel'druga while it was distracted. The dagger slid off its oily skin, a chuckle echoed off the shore as the 4th member was dragged underwater. The now 3 member party, having no way of harming this monster have been subjugated into feeding Kel'druga for as long as they live.
During current times, one of the daggers has resurfaced. Unknown are its origins, the ancient designs and thirst for blood are all that are known.
