This Mortal Soil

As society begins to form from the gripping claws of starvation and a meager existence, people are beginning to discover that their small home ranges are not representative of the larger land or even the neighboring environments. Instead of large continents and kingdoms, most people find themselves confined to their geological niches. However, some seek to change that. Notably, the Fathers have been gaining influence as a system of economy - and oppression.   With more people able to travel and specialize due to the formation of small economies, some have come together to form a band of drifters with not much to tie them down.   Transformation; metamorphosis; self-actualization
