Significance

Each mask grants the user power, in exchange for some of themselves. Frequent users often find the mask more difficult to pull off over time, and it sometimes takes skin or hair off with it. The bearer's face is usually marked and marred from its use. Inscribed on the back of each of these is an ingredient for an anti - Vitrium substance, .
