Don

Orphaned at birth, Little Redfoot was raised by desert barbarians until age 14, when he set out to make his own fortune. When leaving the tribe, he also left behind his best childhood friend Yannah, who stayed and has presumably become a powerful barbarian by now. Unhappy with the brute force approach of the desert nomads, he swore off physical strength. However, a love for desert animals, especially snakes, seemed engrained in him.   He joined a group of traveling circusfolk as a handler for large snakes and other dangerous animals, who seemed to respond well to him. Here, he came into contact with stage magicians and tricksters, who immediately saw his potential. From the stage magicians in the circus he learned basic tricks and illusions to astonish people, as well as methods of charming them and tricking them out of their money. His innate magical abilities astounded even the best of his tutors and he soon made a name for himself as Ragatello the Mesmeriser. While the circusfolk look down on people leaving the company, his skill and prowess had earned them a lot of money by that point, and they are likely to treat him as an old friend, rather than shun him, if they should ever happen to meet him again. They might even be willing to turn to him for help if they feel, that he could be of assistance to them.   When he left the circus at 18, he had learned skills, that allowed him to quickly get rich through a series of scams and cons, always with a smile and a laugh and often through the bed and heart of a nobleman's wife or daughter. While the women in question are likely to remember him fondly, the husbands and fathers are likely to disdain him, although unlikely to pursue him intentionally, relieved to have him out of their life.   Once he had made a sizeable amount of money, he moved to Ivonia in the north and assumed the identity of a Nobleman from a faraway country. With that cover he insinuated himself into the circles of the local nobility and became a well respected member of the elite, renowned for the parties and banquets that he held at his mansion. Here he became known as Don Redfoot, reassuming his childhood name from the nomad tribe. But yet again he became disillusioned with the world that he lived in. The so-called elite seemed to him even more narrow minded than the barbarians of the Karamil desert and he became increasingly secluded. The only company he could bear, for a few years, was that of his valet Jeeves, and sometimes not even that.   During this time Don Redfoot became acquainted with a different kind of elite: The intellectual elite. He often conversed by mail with esteemed thinkers and knowlegeable men from far and near, and sometimes invited individuals whom he deemed interesting, as guests to his mansion, for a night of deep conversation on almost any topic. Particularly one man, a man by the name of Professor Seras, who lived in a nearby town, and who was obsessed with travel and adventuring, became a close personal friend and frequent guest at his mansion. When his friend Professor Seras passed away, Don Redfoot decided to follow in his friends footsteps and left behind his old life yet again, to set out to travel the world.
