Magic

Everything is made up of magic, a life-force driving creation and change. All matter, in its purest form, is magic. It is an energy, cerulean blue in hue, that can be formed into anything. It flares like fire, yet flows like water. Breathes like air, yet heavy like earth. Bright, yet dark. Logas, the First Mage, son of Theros, was gifted the ability to control magic by his father. He then shared the gift with all that would follow his teachings. Logas deemed that a proper use of magic is to live out the Will of the Creator. The Dominion he built was centered around his faith in the Creator and his magical teachings. It is no easy task to control magic, however. Every living thing is an infinite conduit of magic, but the more one pulls from their internal source of magic, the more unstable their body becomes. Wizards, mages who pull magic from limited sources (inanimate objects), tend to live longer than their sorcerer counterparts (mages who pull magic from within). This was true until the Earthborne came, with technology and science that could control the substance into a more stable form. This new form is known as mahkari, and now powers all facets of Thernian life. Magic is still used, but not as often as mahkari.

Manifestation

By focusing one's will to adhere to Its Will, one can form any matter into magic. The substance will remain purely magic for as long as the mage is focused. It takes a well practiced hand to keep it from blowing up in their face, literally.

Localization

So far, magic is known to make up all things, so anywhere there is matter, there is magic.
