The mummies burst out of their enclosures and after some amount of struggle are killed or held at bay. The party rests and continues their search, finding a Staff of Withering. As the group searches, they find more traps, some are disarmed, others are set off.
The mummies burst out of their enclosures and after some amount of struggle are killed or held at bay. The party rests and continues their search, finding a Staff of Withering. As the group searches, they find more traps, some are disarmed, others are set off.
Eventually, they spot a purple light coming from a room and are assaulted by a group of skeletons. They are quickly dispatched, and there is some confusion when a red glow remains on Eliwrath's flail after the battle ends. In the room beyond a set of double doors, the group finds a pedestal and a decorative box they can only assume holds "The Finger of Vecna". Avalan takes the box and they go outside to open and inspect it. Within, they find a map of the crypt detailing all of the traps, a note from a group called "The Royals" and a distinct lack of magic swords. It would appear The Royals retrieved the sword some time ago but left all of the traps set and a note for the next adventurers.
