Where is Nyberinz?
Far from the sun in the cold northern theomes, not far from the Deathwall at the northern extreme of Theoma, Nyberinz is an exemplar of the kind of clime that it's surrounded by.
How is Nyberinz classified?
Nyberinz is considered a Negotiable theome. The constant snowfall and bad winds are considered uninhabitable by most people. The weather in Nyberinz is steadfastly awful and dangerously so, as it is a place that is nearly constantly beset by snow. The ground is not truly ice all the way down, but it resembles that.
What kind of population and economy does Nyberinz have?
There's only one populated part of Nyberinz. It is mostly built around a sprawling museum larger than the town adjacent to it which is Cortacaffakalyenay's Museum of Ice. Built onto the museum, a monolithic Swaivshon Mansion Complex hosts a good chunk of the town's population in the form of a furred dragon community. Beyond that, a semicircle of pastel ceramic houses are available for a population of artisans and winter-lovers. Farthest from the museum, a mining quarter exists to dredge up raw materials from underground with Cortacaffakalyenay's blessing.
There's nothing brisk about the economy of Nyberinz, but a trade route does cross it to allow the locals to resupply (food cannot be grown in Nyberinz) and export their goods. The town's warehouses are actually rather extensive, because trade caravans tend to be few and large, to minimize trips through the awful weather in Nyberinz. Merchants don't like it and don't want to be without heavy supplies on the way!
Although they are never made available in large quantities, there's a modest trade in everlasting iceboxes from Nyberinz. Cortacaffakallyenay is very amused to stock the gift shop in his Museum with a good that he can advertise as letting people take a little piece of winter with them forever.
What is Cortacaffakallyenay like?
Despite his affinity for awful weather, Cortacafakallyenay is a friendly and creative person. He's very easy for geomancers to meet, and he willingly empowers ice-themed spells or blessings for geomancers who he believes can love the ice as he does. When not meeting with visiting geomancers, he runs daily games and social events for the people of Nyberinz in his museum.
What is the Fate Beacon that Cortacaffakallyenay maintains over Nyberinz?
The weather of Nyberinz is its most occult export. Cortacaffakallyenay's thoughts about the beauty of ice are presented in his Museum of Ice, which in turn is constantly sending out an influence on Fate that offers cold weather events to other theomes and makes cold weather a little more spectacular everywhere.
