The Briar Guard have one purpose and that is to protect those under The Thornwood.
The Briar Guard have special enchanted armor made from the Thornwood that allows them to roll themselves into a ball at high speeds devastating their target with the magical thorns on the armor. They also equip every Briar Guard with thorn enchanted whips allowing them to ensnare someone, they function like shackles as well. They also allow them to swing through the Thornwood with ease.
