Viabaas' Ring

General Info

The dark night sky of the Wraith Globe, unlike our world's sky, is almost completely devoid of stars. The only stars that shine above the Wraith Globe are those in Viabaas' Ring, a perfectly circular ring of 16 bright stars and an innumerable amount of smaller and dimmer points of light. Each of these sixteen bright stars represents a different one of the outer planes, which include Mount Celestia, Arcadia, Bytopia, The Beastlands, Limbo, The Nine Hells, Acheron, Hades, The Abyss, Pandemonium, Gehenna, Carceri, Mechanus, Arborea, Ysgard, and Elysium. However, these are not the only planes that are contained within Viabaas' Ring.

The Fainter Stars of Viabaas' Ring

An almost infinite amount of smaller rings are also found within the rings as well, such as the World's Heart. There is no known way to travel directly to these planes from the Traversal Wraith Globe. The only way to travel to the Intraversal Wraith Globe, the planes within Viabaas' Ring, is with some sort of inter-dimensional portal or spell.

Influences in Mythology

Viabaas' Ring has always had a heavy influence on the mythology of the different Finite Races' cultures. In human culture, Viabaas' Ring is a direct gateway to Lords' divine domain, and if one were to reach the stars, they would have the chance to meet Viabaas and the other Lords. In Elven mythology, Viabaas' ring was once a third celestial body, much like the sun and moon. In Orcish culture, the 16 stars in Viabaas' ring are each a vengeful spirit held at bay by Daemor, Viabaas' trusty pike. This list of mythological and cultural influences goes on, as each of the Finite Races has had its own perspective on what this celestial ring represents. Of course, these beliefs are now widely overshadowed by the scientific nature of Viabaas' Ring.
