The Legend of The Faerie of Islet Bay

The Feyland Snatchers of Anrak

"What would you do if you suddenly realized that you had lived another life with another family, but you could remember none of it? Honestly, I still don't know what to do about it myself, and It's been four years since I first stepped into that cursed circle of massive fungi. Perhaps, one day, I'll make it to the Feywild and be able to meet with my lover on my own terms, rather than theirs."
-Arus Far, Adventurer

General Info

The Northwestern end of the nation of Khazan is made up of the small Islet bay, one of the only green areas of Khazan. The only town within Islet bay is the moderately sized town of Anrak. In Anrak, there is an old wives' tale concerning a strange clearing deep within the forest south of Anrak. Many parents tell their children to not wander too deep into the forest or they will begin to hear the slight laughter of pixie among the branches of the trees. A clearing of massive otherworldly mushrooms will suddenly appear in front of the wandering individual, and if they enter the clearing, they will enter another plane of existence: the Feywild.

The Feyland Snatchers

Contrary to what many younger people say in Anrak, the legend is quite true. The pixies and dryads of the forest south of the town use the clearing as a trap to trick unwary young people into entering the Feywild and forgetting their past lives. From there, the dryads and pixies have their prey all to themselves. Years, even decades later, these people may wake up back in the center of the mushroom clearing, having no idea that they may have made a fey family with one of their faerie captors...
