General Info

No one can deny that The dreaded Fegnaór , or five pit fiends of the Wraith Globe, are some of the evilest and most powerful beings through all of Gearva, and that Lorințus, the Fegnaór of Lust, is no exception. from its fortress of twisted stone and metal in the endless Abyss, this fiend controls a legion of Vítsodéns. It is even said that Lorințus has the ability to take the form of "a perfect mate", deceiving many a member of the Finite Races. Of course, sometimes Lorințus prefers to toy with the mind of her prey even further, so she created a cursed looking glass, capable of revealing the true dark nature of anyone who gazes into it. Bejeweled with Bloodstone and Carnelian with a golden frame, Lorințus' Cursed Looking Glass commonly catches the eye of many a greedy soul. No disguise or magic can overpower the looking glass; However, it has a curse upon it. Whoever gazes at the looking glass for too long may suffer... side effects... These side effects vary quite a bit, but none of them are good...

D&D 5th Edition Rules

When one gazes into the looking glass, they must make a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, they gaze into the looking glass too long and suffer one major and one minor side effect. These side effects can be removed one by one by the "dispel good and evil" spell or other similar spells.  
D12 Minor Side-Effects
1 The character abruptly and permanently loses their shadow
2 the character begins to involuntarily mutter incoherent abyssal for 1D4 minutes
3 The character is paralyzed for 1D10 minutes
4 The character feels as if knives are slashing through their skin all over their body. On inspection, there is no real damage
5 The character becomes mute for the next 1D6 minutes
6 1 case of short-term madness
7 1D100 leeches pour from the character's mouth for 3 minutes
8 For 1 minute, the character is not able to tell who is friend and who is foe
9 The character believes that the world is ending for the next 1D4 minutes.
10 The character's eyes become a milky white haze indefinitely (can be cured by dispel good and evil or similar spell)
11 You are branded by the mark of Lorințus on the back of your left hand
12 Roll twice and apply both minor side-effects
D10 Major Side-Effects
1 The character remains how they saw themselves in the mirror permanently (can be cured by greater healing or similar spell)
2 The character has sudden obsessive feelings towards the first being they look at next
3 Paranoid. The character gains the following flaw: "I know that something twisted is hunting me and actively trying to kill me."
4 1 case of long-term madness
5 1 case of indefinite madness
6 Disregard. The character gains the following flaw: "I do not care for anything others say. I want what I want, and I will do anything to get it."
7 A chaotic evil duplicate of the character is created within 5 miles of the true character. The duplicate will actively avoid but follow and ruin the reputation of the original.
8 For 1D20 days, the character can hear a constant piercing scream in their mind
9 The character is no longer able to tell the truth (can be cured by greater healing or similar spell)
10 The character unwittingly gaze into the looking glass a second time, roll for minor and major side-effects again (stacking)
