Aurindus, the Great Arcane Flare

Solar Artillery

Now, burn in the flame of Aurindus, the flare of one thousand suns, in the judgement of Carceri and the Wraith Globe!
- Tiktalak, Great Being of Nuclear Flame
One of the last relics of the Order of the Art and of Arcane Alchemy is Aurindus, the Great Arcane Flare. With the power to harness the burning flame of the sun, This "solar artillery" is not only composed of a massive arm cannon, engraved with arcane inscriptions, but it is also accompanied by full plate alchemical armor to shield the wielder from both the flames and immense shockwave the weapon causes. Contrary to its name, Aurindus can even be used in close combat due to the effective protection of its complimentary armor.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Due to the mystery surrounding the technology of Arcane Alchemy, it is mostly unknown how Aurindus functions, but what is known are the individual components that are housed within. There seems to be some form of intense magic flame within the chamber of the arm cannon. From there, it can be reasoned that various alchemical processes paired with arcane inscriptions along the length of the weapon harness that flame's immense potential energy.

History

Aurindus was originally created by the mysterious Order of The Art. it is theorized that once the Order discovered more advanced forms of Arcane Alchemy that this was one of their first creations using the technique, due to the mention of Arcane Alchemy being capable of "drying oceans" in section two of the Emerald Tablet of the Order, which was most likely written only a short while after the Order was originally founded. From there the history of The Great Arcane Flare is spotty. It is unclear if the artifact was created for its current wielder, Tiktalak, the Great being of Nuclear Flame and the guardian of the Wardens of Carceri. Due to the weapon's nature, that would be a logical conclusion, but the power of Aurindus may have also drawn Tiktalak to it.
Rarity
Aurindus is one of a kind, an ancient artifact only created once by the Order of the Art.
Weight
