Illithea
Illithea is a large continent with many inhabitants. It is split into many regions which are futher split into provinces; for many, these provinces define the world they live in. For others, especially in remote regions, it is the tribal boundaries that matter rather than the arbitrary lines drawn on a map.
Illithea is split into nine regions in total. The Far North, nicknamed the Everlasting Colds, are frozen wastelands too dangerous to be inhabitable. The North comprises the provinces of Vord, Kussea and Ibagord, and is the homeland of the Northmen.
The Borderlands, under the yoke of the North, contains the provinces of Miraen, Elery and Faihnard. Its southern neighbour, the Hinterlands, is the biggest region and is made up of the four farming provinces of Thalia, Bilath, Onuron and North-West Mirilith. The mountains in the west of Onuron and Miraen is the home of the Wahine'Toa, a fierce clannish people run as a matriarchal society.
Nerraniel, the city-state part of and completely surrounded by the Hinterlands, is the continent's seat of education and research, and is closely linked to the trading region of Peridien, located east of the Hinterlands on the coast. South of the Hinterlands is Terramulta and its provinces of Selannor, Heigh, Northern Malenna and South-East Mirilith.
The southern Islands and Drelish, Seab and Southern Malenna, collectively known as Nyanja, are the homes of the Mokweren who are the biggest traders of Illithea. The people of Illithea are spread across these regions and the final, almost uninhabitable desert known as the Red Wastes. Here lives the Aghkari, an isolationist culture who are seen by few and who eke out a living which is hard and uncompromising.
