Istanta Selaria

Istanta is the current bearer of the title of Mother’s Watchful, the religious leader of those who worship the Mother’s teachings. Ambitious for power, thinking she will be the one to spread the Mother’s wisdom far and wide, Istanta sacrificed much to obtain the title.
Under Istanta’s guidance, the Sisterhood of the Golden Rose has quietly regrouped since the last failed crusade. Istanta believes that, with careful planning, a crusade under her leadership would succeed.
Selfishly, Istanta hopes that such a conquest will earn her privileges beyond her station and what is allowed by her faith without repercussions.

Istanta’s clothing choices are practical and modest, feminine in style without much embellishment. Plain dresses or robes bearing the symbols and colors of the Mother's faith make up her wardrobe, and she never shows more skin than absolutely necessary.

There is a rumor that Istanta once loved a woman deeply but ended the relationship in order to pursue her faith in the Mother.

The Mother’s tenets teach of strict morals and careful moderation of pleasures, and Istanta follows each of her rules to the letter. Her sins are numerous, but acts of greed, lust, and pride can be twisted and seen as necessary steps in her service to the faith.
